The last World War I combat veteran died at the age of 110 recently.  I have been lucky enough to have met and photographed a few of our surviving World War II veterans over the past few years.  These men and women are absolutely incredible.  The stories they tell and energy they still have is inspiring.  They make me realize we have many people to thank for all we have.  This is an image I took for Inc. magazine of a few members of the WW II Roundtable group that meets monthly for lunch in Atlanta.  Included in the photo is Tom Beaty, founder of Witness to War, a group that has been collecting oral histories of their time served.  These are memories that need to be preserved.  Visit the website for more information.  And thank a vet today!
